No your not missing something. The "Disable Journaling" (not to be confused with "Disable Full Dat Journaling" option) of the v1 is obsolete on the v2 and x86 anyway so it wouldn't be included even if there were a performance options tab.

If you know your way around SSH you can enable some of the missing things.
NetGear automatically choose settings for some things not configurable e.g. enabling disk spin-down.
