NV+ v2 failed 3 disks at once and went life support
Event diary: 3 March 2021 ~16:30 United Kingdom Time (started typing those notes few hours later) I have a NV+v2 (4x 3TB) which I recently put back online, after replacing (8 January 2021) HDD2 wh...

Is there any way I can reinsert the disks, revert that incorrect synch and return to an “unprotected” array of 3 healthy disks?
Not using the normal NAS boot menu.
Would that imply that NO RECOVERY is possible via the NV+ v2? Does it mean that the NV+ v2 is condemned/bricked? Can it not be Flashed / Reset / FW upgraded/downgraded in any way?
If that is the case, what could be a suitable replacement? The RN214 seems to have disappeared from the UK market, there may be some RN424, but how much life is left in that model? Wasn’t it launched at the end of 2012 ?
Regarding “recovering” the data, Thank You for the suggestion and warnings. But if the NV+ is condemned, “if” I could recover the data, and find myself with a readable but unprotected array of HD 1, 2, 3, I would need to transfer everything on another NAS: I was under the impression that a RAID from the NV+ could not be simply transferred in a OS6 diskless chassis (like we did when the 104 failed, and the array was simply placed in a 214 and was seen OK). So that is something which will be attempted at a later stage.

No. It means that your volume has failed, not the NAS. If you were to do a factory default with working disks, you would be able to rebuild it - reconfiguring it, and reloading it with data.
If you need to recover the data, then I think you'll need help - either from paid Netgear support, recovery software, or a data recovery service. A new NAS won't help you there. And there are no boot menu options that will help you either. You have multiple disk issues, and RAID-5 isn't designed to deal with that.

Not sure what NAS you are talkiing about exactly.
The NV+ v2 was launched in 2011, and the final firmware update was released in May 2017.
The RN214 was launched in Oct 2015, and the RN424 was released in January 2018.
Inventory on all ReadyNAS is scarce (and has been for some months now).
