NVX Internet Access
When clicking on 'Check for updates' there is no response. ElephantDrive (who host Vault) want to confirm an Internet connection. I attempted to use old BitTorrent add-on as a test but no activity. I...
Did as you instructed. When unticked box it displayed message 'System clock has been updated', though of course it hadn't. After ticking box again and Apply it displayed message 'Unable to connect to specified NTP server(s)'. I noticed the time is slow compared to my desktop, also configured with NTP.
I noticed in my router settings (DD-WRT) that CIFS is disabled, though it's never been an issue before, either for Internet access or creating/moving/editing files on NAS or between NAS and other devices on LAN.

That means the NAS is not reaching the internet.
Are you are using DHCP (or have you set up a static address for the NAS on it's configuration page)?

That's not a problem. The normal use for that is when you want to share a USB drive from the router.
