Odd connectivity issues
Hi, I have a Readynas Duo v2 that has been fine for about a year. I don't know if this is coincidence or not but I changed the subnet mask on it on the 2nd Sept and noticed yesterday that I couldn'...

Hi,
Update - did os reinstall but no change
Currently can ping from anywhere. Can access shares intermitently from my PC but not server. Can't get to dash from anywhere.
Network is global corp (not managed by me). Subnet change was done to whole site (not whole network), nothing else has had issues since then. If I put subnet back to original i'd probably loss connectivity, so won't try unless onsite.
RE: "So the obvious question is how did you do your subnets ? classic VLan + static routing ? dynamic routing ? is there a firewall, IPS or anti ddos system that could flag the computers ? Do you have QoS ? How did you set the TCP sessions length/timeout ? How are your switch performance, is it overloaded ? Did you enable jumbo frames ? "
I'll forward these to the networking guy, maybe he'll spot something.
It is looking likely that it is some network issue. I have another NAS (v1) that is fine, but that is hardly used, whereas the v2 with issue is used a lot, approx 35 PC upload call recording to it all day everyday plus supervisors access callls to listen, plus I do some backups to it every night. So it's pretty much constantly in use reading or writing.
The pattern at the moment is it works for a few minutes (when me or supervisors try to acess calls) then stops for a few hours, in the back ground though there will be the 35 pc's trying and failing (at the moment) all day.
No errors about disks, I do get email alerts is Smart error occur so don't think thats the issue
Will quiz networking team and come back. Thanks for help.
