Options for recovering deleted files on ReadyNAS NV

I have the 2 bay readynas duo and I deleted all my data by deleting the shares(thought it would just un-share them). I plugged the 1st drive into a pc using a standard sata cable and ran disk internals 2.9 which took 10hrs to recover data, all the files were renamed and not in original folders but I managed to salvage all my priceless photos. I also switched the nas drive on with only the second drive in and added the other drive later, now the drive has been rysyncing for hours. Hope it is recovering my files
