OS 6.2.x on Pro2?
Not sure how I didn't notice this before, but should OS6.2.x run well on my Pro2? Any issues I need to be concerned with?

- ScottChapmanApprenticeawesome. Thanks!
- KillerBobAspirantI would strongly encourage anyone running a legacy device (out of warranty) to upgrade to 6.2.X. It is a much better OS, and I got extra functionality (like snapshots). The only thing I have found not to work is the backup button - so what...
So, give yourself a small present and upgrade today:)
- ScottChapmanApprenticeAgreed, so far so good!
 Really love OS6!
- ScottChapmanApprenticeOK... Got my first problem...
So, none of my shares are available to anyone. Not on any windows client or Mac client.
SMB is on and AFP and the shares are visible. Bit I get an error every time I try to connect.
On the windows machines (which are requiring a username/password just to connect to the server) I get an error about "windows cannot access..."
I do have user accounts set up, for for the shares I also have guest access and anyone can read/write.
Not sure what's going on. I get the same behavior when I create a new share as well... I made sure the protocols (SMB and AFP are running for the share)
Any ideas? Did I need to do a factory reset after getting to the final 6.2.2 firmware?
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you download your logs what does initrd.log look like?
- CharlesRGuideYou shouldn't have to do a factory default. Might have already looked but I would check under Shares - click on share - Settings - Network Access and File Access. Try granting everyone RW and go from there... and allow anonymous access.
What happens if you create a new share? Can you access it.

Yea, I made sure everyone has read/write access. And like I said, I created a new share and still no luck...
- ScottChapmanApprentice... I also made sure anonymous access is set...
Double checked with my other NAS (316) and it's sdhares work fine with same setting...
- ScottChapmanApprenticeAny ideas? Want me to post logs perhaps?
