OS 6.5.1 on RN316: Unable to modify many settings
I have two of model RN316, 6-bay, about 2-years apart in purchase dates. The first was updated from OS v6.1.4 (hereinafter called "Unit 1", which was purchased in 2014) and the newer from OS 6.4.2 (h...

UPDATE TWO: ISSUE "B": Network Time - After the factory reset of Unit 2, I discovered that the only way to change the NTP servers was to configure the NAS for DNS. In my case, I used Google's public DNS servers (main 8.8.8.8 IPv4, and secondary 8.8.4.4 IPv4). This was true regardless of if I entered in the IP address of the NTP server or not. Essentially, no DNS configured and it would not allow changes to the NTP servers (that's to say, they would revert to the default Netgear servers). In this respect, I was able to get Unit 2 to configure for my chosen NTP servers, and to allow for the configuration of server 3. As to Unit 1, it would not allow for the re-enabling of NTP. If I checked the box, and put in an NTP server, whether I pressed <Enter> or clicked "Apply", the GUI would return to the Overview window, the time would remain unchanged (out-of-sync), and upon reentry into the "set time" window, the box for using internet NTP would have reverted to unchecked and any/all entries for server would be blank. So, effectively Unit 2 NTP RESOLVED; Unit 1 remains UNRESOLVED, I may try the factory reset option here as well (with Unit 1), after Unit 2 is fuly online with all data sync'd.

Sounds like the GUI from the old firmware was cached by your web browser. You could try clearing your web browser cache, closing your web browser and reopen the web admin page and see if this helps.
If you configure the NAS to use a static I.P. address then yes you will need to manually specify the DNS server addresses.

Clearing cache and restarting the browsers did not show any changes. I have used both Firefox and Chrome, with no change in symptoms. However, thank you for the suggestion.

Well it sounds like you didn't clear the cache properly then. The UI should show the same for both units.
