OS 6.5 SMB - Workgroup - Setting user admin password
Hi, How can I set an admin password for SMB user admin when the access type is "local users"? The default password is <blank>, meaning anyone can access shares via SMB with a blank admin passwor...

But I've entered it again on the "admin password" tab, and that is now causing OS X 10.11.5 to ask for a password for SMB access. Will check whether my windows machnes are prompting for a password for user admin.

Looks like that worked... but will do a final check after a reboot of my windows machine.
Wonder why the original entry of the admin password didn't set the SMB password?
