OS 6 problems need subforum
Had a quick look - does not seem to be a forum to discuss OS6. I've just got a 316, and I now see why there are so many complaints - the GUI is appalling. In 2 hours I've encountered the following...

Support are trying hard:
Security certificate error solved. I needed to go into the https settings and change the IP address to the readynas IP address. Tis seems to regenerate the key and the certificate is then available for addition to the trusted root certification folder. This works for me as I use fixed ip addresses.
Support suggested an OS reinstall for the other issues. This has not made any difference, in fact now config backup fails to download zip file if "everything" or "volumes" are selected; and the zip file downloaded without these does not restore when selected for a config restore. I simply get a non-specific error message about a server error.
The volume bar in the overview tab is also problematic, the blue bar is longer than the clear box it is presumably meant to partially fill up. Does not look particularly good and is yet another little bug I guess.
I have also noticed that the power timer resolution is only hourly , unlike 4.2.24 and 4.1.12 where more precise times can be set. Again, not critical, but a step backwards I think.
Support have not said anything about the email notification for backups where successful backups generate emails when I have selected to only receive emails about errors.
