Hi,
I'm only going by what I can see on the traffic.
The situation is as follows:
We have hitting machines that communicate via FTP. These are setup with the username and password and have the home directory setup.
We were told we have to use Serv-U FTP software but this was proven not the case as I also used Filezilla FTP Server software OK.
I then got this Readynas 104 (Latest FW) and setup the FTP with the machine username and changed the port from 21 to 10021 (as this is what the machines communicated over)
Most of the machines can read and write ok to the Readynas 104 with out issues but there are two newer ones that cannot.
On looking at the logs and traffic on Filezilla I could see there was an additional port request for 22021 from them. As the Readynas was only on 10021 and the passive were set to a higher range this could not be answered. Thats my logic behind it.
So I tried then to change the Passive FTP ports to 22021 but I cannot use that port on there?
This is now where I'm at with it.
