Password reset is not working

It sounds like you did (or the NAS somehow did by itsellf) an OS re-install. That resets the admin password to password. It also resets the network interface to use DHCP. So if you are using an IP address you "know" to be that of the NAS (but may no longer be) and not what RAIDar is telling you it is, that could cause the other issue.
The Degraded indication means you have a failed drive, and you definately need to get that replaced. Can you download logs from RAIDar (using either what you believe the admin password to be or password)?

Firstly, thanks for chiming in.
I've attempted using "admin" as user name, and "password" as password, but It doesn;t seem to work.
Plus, on some areas, I can actaully log in on a basic level.
But, the NAS isn't seen...

OK, so can you download the logs from RAIDar? It sounds like one of the Netgear reps should take a look at them. Another possibility is that your OS partition is filling up, but that will also affect the ability to download the logs,
