Photo Cloud?
I bought this ReadyNAS Ultra 2 5 years ago and so far I have only been using it on my LAN as a mounted drive in Windows to archive data. Pretty basic and there is no external access to it.
I wanted to set up a "private cloud" which would be used mostly to share photos with family. It would sync all the photos between the NAS and half a dozen computers.
Is this possible with this model of the ReadyNAS or do I need to upgrade?
Thanks in advance for the advice!

Netgear won't support OS 6 running on x86 "legacy" NAS, but lots of folks have done the conversion and almost all seem happy with the results.

You can install OwnCloud (you can get an add-on from rnxtras.com)
Or you can convert your ultra to run OS 6 firmware, and use ReadyCloud.
