Pioneer Pro hangs on root file system check
Hi users hope someone can assist - I have searched threads but cant see an identical issue.
I have a RN Pioneer pro running recent firmware that has been running happily for about 18 months.
A couple of days ago I couldn't access the data on the drive and noticed that it was trying to resync and was stuck at 35%. I tried to connect with frontview with no success and performed a hard shutdown from the front power button. Upon reboot it tried to resync again and I left it overnight to find that it was stuck on 6.5% in the morning. I again performed a hard shutdown and now the system is stuck on "Booting - Checking root FS" I can find it with Raidar but it confirms the FS checking stage and wont let me access.
This has been hanging on the boot stage for hours and i cannot connect to the unit with frontview and have limited (almost nil!) SSH skills/knowledge. All 6 drives numbers came up in the booting stage before the root FS check.
I am aware that I can reset from boot menu and skip the FS check but understand that this could corrupt by data?
I have 6 2TB disks in the system with about 3TB of data and no way of backing it up onto another system at present - even if I did i cant access the unit.
Can anyone advise best course of action please?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI would file an on-line support ticket (editing the title of this thread to include the ticket number).
In the meantime, I would power down again, and test each drive on my PC with vendor tools. (I labeled my drives, and make sure I keep them in the same slots). - petercherryAspirantThanks,
Have filed a support ticket and a L3 tech is reviewing. - cashedAspirantDid you ever get this issue resolved? We have a ReadyNAS here that's been stuck at 41% FS Check for days/weeks here (we only use it occasionally) but want to get it working again. Any suggestions? Thanks! :D
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserGenerally we like new threads for problems, even if they appear to be similar.
Though my advice is the same: file an on-line support ticket, and in the meantime power down the NAS and test each drive in a PC with vendor tools. Label the drives so you will restore them to the same slots.
