PLEX does not show up in APPs on 6.6.0 Ready NAS 104
I have 6.6.0 firmware. I know this used to show Plex under "APPS". Now it does not.
I have read the other thread that is marked solved, but it's unclear what "solved" it. That thread mentions ...

It is not installed. But I know it used to be on the APPS page; it was on my list of things to do. Now, when I have time to install it, after updating firmware to 6.6.0, it does not show in the APPS section anymore.
Sounds like I need to go download it so I'll try that.
Thanks!

After reading up on PLEX.tv forums, it sounds like Netgear has dropped compatability or support for PLEX. Can anybody confirm if this is supposed to work with a ReadyNAS 104 or not?

I don't think Netgear has dropped anything. Plex chose to drop legacy platforms for a variety of NAS (not only Netgear), but they continue to support all OS 6 NAS, included the RN104.

PlexServer was running on my RN316 until the system updated to 6.6.0. After that update I tried to manually update Plex to the latest version. When i tried to stop plex to do the update, Plex disappeared from my system. Attempts to do the manual install has been unsuccessful. I've tried multiple versions, including the one that was running at the time to no avail. None of them will install.
Anyone have work-around?

I just updated mine to 6.6 today and after that it disappeared as well. My plan was to intstall PLEX. Then I thought "well, I better make sure I'm on the latest firmware". So, I updated firmware. Plex disappeared. Kind of shot myself in the foot sounds like. But it soulds like something else is going on here with another person with a similar situation after 6.0.
