PLEX does not show up in APPs on 6.6.0 Ready NAS 104
I have 6.6.0 firmware. I know this used to show Plex under "APPS". Now it does not.
I have read the other thread that is marked solved, but it's unclear what "solved" it. That thread mentions ...

I just updated mine to 6.6 today and after that it disappeared as well. My plan was to intstall PLEX. Then I thought "well, I better make sure I'm on the latest firmware". So, I updated firmware. Plex disappeared. Kind of shot myself in the foot sounds like. But it soulds like something else is going on here with another person with a similar situation after 6.0.

Plex will install on an RN102 running 6.6.0.
And there are several posts already (some from Netgear) explaining why it is no longer on the available apps page.

Yeah, I see the download here now; https://www.plex.tv/downloads/ and you can choose the ReadyNAS various versions. So I'll try that see what happens.

I have tried to revert back to 6.5.2, but it won't let me do that. I get an 'Unrecognized server error' messege.
I have restarted the system several times and powered it down and up, with no change. It won't let me downgrade the OS to 6.5.2 and it would load the Plex server app.
I hope that this gets fixed soon.

Have you checked the logs for possible problems such as a very full root volume?
Have you had a look at apt-history.log and filtered systemd-journal.log to see what it has to say about APT?

Hi jlkansascity did you try installing the app yet?

I've tried both v1.2.1 & 1.2.2 version of PMS (only available publicly to Plex Pass members) on my 214 and both install 'successfully', but fail to start, with an Empty Resource Error: Bad NML call.
Looks as if Plex are busily trying to resolve the issue following the 6.6.0 upgrade, and found success on some systems but not others.I've sent a Plex developer a good deal of log content and now awaiting a response.
Note: what I fail to understand about the latest upgrade from Netgear, is why developers are not exposed to early releases of the firmware so that they can prepare for what constitutes a major upgrade? it makes no sense to upgrade in this way when those buying your products often do so because of the support for specific applications (in this case Plex). There should be no need for this kind of reactive support...
