Let's start with verifying the model. Many owners of the original Duo mistakenly think they have a Duo v2. That is Netgear's fault - the labeling is confusing.
The original Duo
- says ReadyNAS Duo on the front panel
- runs 4.1.x firmware
- often has labels that include v2 in other places of the chassis.
The Duo v2
- says ReadyNAS Duo v2 on the front panel
- runs 5.x firmware
