Problems using SyncToy 2.1
Hello everyone, I´m almost going crazy with my ReadyNas Duo! Since August I´m trying fix the following problem (with the help of Netgear support), unfortunately without any success! I had a Win...
Previous versions of Synctoy (2.0) were found to cause data corruption when working with NAS devices:
I realize that you're using 2.1 now (which apparently fixes the issue), but I'm wondering if there's some sort of previous version or related issue causing grief.
What is it that you're trying to do:
- backup your media collection
- keep it synced between PC and NAS
- keep it synced between multiple PCs and NAS
- just keep it all centralized on the NAS and let each device access the shared media folder
There are a number of backup/syncing options, but some may be better suited depending on exactly what you're trying to do. Can you give a specific example of what you'd like to see/do with your media collection?
Important NAS and SyncToy 2.0 Information
Please note that there are known issues when using SyncToy 2.0 with a Home NAS. When using a NAS, there is a chance of file corruption. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming release. Unfortunately there are no known workarounds for this issue with SyncToy 2.0.
