Problems with access after reinstall of Windows
So, I have this Readynas Ultra 4.
When I was on windows 7 I created a bunch of shares to keep track of my different types of files. Back then I didn't have extra users on the NAS, I was the only user, so everything have just been set up with the admin account.
Now, when I try to edit any of the files on my NAS, I get an access denied message, telling me that I need access from the admin user on my NAS's domain.
I tried heading to the "Advanced Options" for my share, and here setting the "share folder owner" to "nobody" and making everything Read/Write, but it had no effect. When navigating to a folder and checking the owner with the "security manager" in windows (or whatever else the function is called :P ) I see that the owner still is "admin (SQUAZZSNAS\admin)" even though I set it to be "nobody" with read/write.
I can't change this in windows as it is not giving me the acces to that, but I can't do it through the ReadyNas either.
What do I do? I really would like to get control over my files again.
Is there some way that I in Windows can login to my ReadyNas with the admin user and in this way getting the access needed to change the files?

- vandermerweMasterAfter you changed the owner etc., did you update the permissions using the checkbox that is on the advances tab in share properties?
Also, the easiest way to set this up is to have users on the nas that match those on windows.
What firmware are you running? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI also use the admin account with the NAS.
Have you switched to a different PC? Is that when the problem began?Squazz wrote: ...when I was on windows 7...
Are the admin credentials saved in the windows credentials manager?
