Have you selected read-only as the default access for that share? This should be set if you are restricting access to specific users.
Also, if anyone with an account on the ReadyNAS shall be able to access this share you can configure the system differently. Please head again to the CIFS related section in frontview that you mentioned before. There, instead of selecting read-only from the Default Access drop-down list, select the access given to anyone who can access your share (not a hundred percent sure how this option is named and unfortunately I cannot check at the moment).
