Okay thanks, that link is especially useful if things go really bad.
I think whatever NAS solution I buy in future I think I will get two of them and do a periodic rsync.
I am making multiple copies of everything on separate USB drives, then I will just move everything to a brand new solution.
SPARC was a weird choice. I was all for register windows and stuff but you rarely see SPARC outside of radio telescopes and huge SUN servers.
ARM is everywhere these days.
