Questions before purchasing RN31200
Hi all,
As the title says; I have some questions before I purchase Netgear ReadyNas RN31200.
This will be my first NAS device and want to use it for following serviceses at my home:
- Save my photos from my system camera
- Save my music archive
- Save family pictures and share wiht my family
- Save my movies and watch them on TV.
And my questions are:
- Can I install XBMC (or another one like Plex Media Server, but I think XBMC is better)?
- Remote control (maybe a mobile app) for XBMC, Plex Media Server or for other NAS apps to manage media files (browse files, play, pause and etc...)?
- Can I connect my NAS to tv wiht HDMI cable and play movies, see photos and listen to my mp3 music wihtout need a PC?
- What´s about youtube and spotify?
Thanks for your help. :)

- StephenBGuru - Experienced User-Plex is included, XMBC is not.
-Plex remote and Plex Mobile are available apps, but I have not tried them myself.
-The RN31200 has an HDMI connection, but the current firmware doesn't use it.
-There is no support for youtube or spotify (again, the NAS is a server, not a player). - ReaderAspirantThanks for the quick response....
Is Plex a better solution then xbmc?
And can't understand why there are an hdmi as doesn't supports by firmware!
Is there anybody who has tried plex remote apps?
