RAID 1 question
Hi,
I have a RN102 with two disc on RAID 1 mode. In case the RN102 got damaged, is it possible to just install one of the discs on a computer to recover the data? Or should I buy a new NetGear storage product to access the data on the discs.
Thanks in advance!!

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIt is possible to mount the disks using a new linux boot CD with btrfs installed.
If you get a second RN102, you can also use it to back up the first RN102, which is better than just putting it on the shelf and hoping it still works when the first RN102 eventually fails. - jesusglezalvAspirantThanks for your quick answer. Is the same approach also valid for x-raid2 volumes?
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserXRAID2 with two disks is RAID 1 as far as the disk format is concerned. So yes.
