RAIDar 6 does not show 'No Disk in Drive Bay' icon on Legacy Pro running OS6
I have three legacy ReadyNAS Pro 6-bay devices. Two are running Raidator 4.2.27 and the third is running OS 6.
I understand that OS 6 is not officially supported on these devices. Just passing this along in case anyone is interested.
When RAIDAR 6 is run, all six drive bays are shown for the devices running 4.2.27.
However, only populated drive bays are shown for the device running OS6. Empty drive bays are not shown. The OS6 device was upgraded from 4.2.27 to 6.3.5 and then subsequently to 6.4.0T127. The empty drive bays were not shown by RAIDAR 6 in either OS6 version.
The below screen capture shows this. Note that all three devices have drives installed in bays 1, 3, 4, 6 (bays 2 and 5 are empty).

Hello TWilson,
The difference how RAIDar sees legacy units and OS6 units is normal. I woud agree with you that it sees legacy units' disks better than how it sees the OS6 units, that it would even show which bay is empty, but it is by design.
I'm hoping to find a detailed explanation about this, I'll get back to you as soon as I find one.

Is this behavior specific to ONLY legacy units running OS 6 or does RAIDar 6 not show the empty bays for ALL OS 6 devices?
If its only acts like this for legacy devices running OS6, is there a config file that can be modified on the legacy device to correct?
If its like this for all OS6 devices (Current and Legacy), Netgear should consider updating the RAIDar help to reflect as by listing and describing the icon it implies that it should be shown.
Also, besides this one, are there any other drive status icons that are not shown in RAIDar for OS6 devices (running on either current or legacy hardware)?
