RAIDar cannot find Readynas ultra 2

Hello, I´ve been banging my head against the wall a couple of hours now. Can´t seem to figure this one out.

I plugged my readynas to my router and I can see that the router gives it an ip. I´ve open up all the tcp/udp ports for this ip on the router firewall. The nas doesnt respond to a ping from either my computer or the router. I have no mac filtering turned on.

I tried to plug the nas directly to my computer and that worked. So I upgraded the firmware to latest, made sure that dhcp was enabled on the nas and plugged it into the router again. Same thing :(
It gets an ip but it cannot get pinged and Raidar does not find it.

The router I have is a dlink dgl 4300. The log on the router keeps logging this every 5 seconds or so: "2004 Assigned new lease 192.168.0.111 to client 841B5E27069A". That is the ip of the nas. What does this mean?

Im out of ideas on what to try here. Please help.

Does RAIDar see it? What IP address does the PC use?

Try assigning a static address to the NAS (a 192.168.0.x address but outside the normal range dhcp range of the router).

Also see if there is anything in the NAS logs that can help sort it (either after the static address, or by re-doing the direct connect).
