Its probably that Windows Box is using a different Type of Authentication then the other box.
Look at changing the LAN MANGER SETTINGS on that box to Lower setting:
Start->Run->secpol.msc->LOCAL SECURITY SETTINGS->Network Security LAN Manager Authentication Level TO SEND LM
AND NTLM
That applied to old units READNAS used 56 bit encryption but not anymore now 128 bit is used.
Make sure your NAS is also on the newest firmware 4.2.22
