Raidar can't see ReadsyNAS Duo

Hi All,

Raidar can't see my ReadyNAS Duo on my home network. All the lights are fine on the hardware. When I login to the router I can see the ReadyNAS is connected fine on the same subnet as my Mac laptop. I used to have it setup in another house on a fixed IP address - that was a long time ago now and I can't remember what that address was. I'm a bit concerned that this is the problem, and I might be stuck if I can't guess the correct IP address. Can anyone help me fix it?

Thanks in advance for any help.

      Hi JohnCM_S,

Thanks for the welcome! It's a v1 ReadyNAS Duo. I can see its IP address in the router. When I browse to that IP address I get a browser error. I've just figured out that it's because TLS1.0 was not enabled in the browser. Maybe that's why RAIDar can't see it too? Anyway, I've fixed the browser problem and now the browser is asking for a usename and password for "My Shares". At this point I have a sinking feeling because I remember I had one but can't remember what it is because it's so long ago since I used it... I've tried the default admin and netgear1 (is that the right one?) with no joy. Any bright ideas? Also, I don't remember accessing the ReadyNAS through a webpage last time but I might just not be remembering correctly.

      Regards,

      Gary

        Hi GaryScot,

You are correct on the default admin credentials. You can try doing an OS re-install. This will reset the admin credentials and the network settings to default settings without losing your data. You may check this article for the steps on how to access the boot menu and select OS re-install.

Also, if you need to access the NAS admin page, the URL is https://NAS_IP address/admin.
