I just received my Pro 6; drive installed, re-boot done. All working well. I accessed my shares via RAIDar. Is there a reason why RAIDar can always connect without being asked to enter a password e...

Bartek,
Thanks for your reply. I do indeed understand the difference between RAIDar and Frontview. I don't think I explained clearly enough the question.
When I run RAIDar, my NAS shows in the list. When I click the "browse" option on RAIDar, I see all my shares and can access the test files I stored there (without entering a password). When I click "setup", I am asked to enter the admin password. If I access the NAS via Explorer and its IP address, I am asked to enter a username and password. Even when I enter the admin password, no shares are listed (I recognize this is probably a problem with the way the shares are credentialed).
The main question is why can RAIDar access the shares without a password?
Thanks.
Jeff
