Corruption when reading large files from an RN31400 over SMB

While I don't typically copy really large file to my PC, I do have a couple of very large Veracrypt files that I access from a PC on a regular basis. Any corruption such as you are seeing would likely make the volume inaccessible, and I've seen none.
Now, because of an issue with VeraCrypt, strict sync is turned off on the share that contains the VeraCrypt volumes. So, you might want to try disabling it and see if it fixes the problem, though Strict Sync usually affects writes instead of reads.
