well the idea was with SSH but we started with simple RSYNG, on the remote server it is active as the support from the hosting company confirms. And for theh SSH they imported the SSH Key but even with that done we get the error to connect, what are we missing?

Thank you, I made sure there is a trailing slash and no initial one, but no change, still error in connection

You also need permissions to write to the cloud server folder. Since you are just using rsync, then you might need to put in the cloud server credentials in the NAS backup job. The cloud server shouldn't allow any random rsync to write to your folder.
Note these credentials are sent in clear-text unless you use rsync over ssh, so you really ought to be using that.
