losing connection

Thanks for the tips.

I manage to enable ftp access and that seems to work better than SMB so its been downloading all night, and still working this morning.

Attaching the USB directly would probably be a faster option, but since it's working I will let it go through... lots of data.

    Thanks for the logs. If you boot the NAS into volume read-only mode is the connection stable then?
