I only use AFP, but I turned on SMB. Sadly with the same results.
I've never heard of AV plus. What is it? If you'll tell me a little about it I'd be glad to try it.

Thanks for the additional information that you've provided. It is an anti-virus app from NETGEAR that can be installed on your ReadyNAS system. It would be better if you can send us the logs so we can have a further look.

Thanks so much for your interest in this problem. Over the past couple of weeks, the problem has slowly diminished. That's the primary reason I haven't updated this. The situation is pretty much the same as it was before the update to 6.5.
