Did you avail the data recovery contract from Netgear? If so, the person who assisted you on recovering the data might be able to help you checking if there is something with the ReadyNAS chassis that it needs replacement already.

Netgear's remote access to restore data would have failed due to the erratic unmount/mount of drives. The third party data recovery experts I took the drives too have virtually rebuilt the array and it is all in tact. They are recovering data to a 10TB I have supplied.
I have contacted support with my warranty concerns, yet I have not received a reply.
If anyone has had experience with this, please let me know. Or this topic can most likely be closed. Thanks.

Just an update to anyone that was following this. The retailer have deemed the unit as faulty and I received a full money back refund. Safe to say, I won't be using a Netgear NAS any time soon.
