Re: ReadyNAS 104 system hanging frequently after 6.4.0 upgrade
Hello tipster71,
Some users also got this working by changing MTU size.
Try changing MTU size of the NAS to 1500, if it is already 1500, change it to 9000 then change it back to 1500.

Hello!
Some experience:
I installed the Beta T35
I killed everything which is not "default": Bonding, any additonal app, every timebased service like disc scrubbing etc.
I deleted every snapshot
With that actions I managed to run the NAS for about 6h without problems in comparison to maybe 20-30 min before doing all that. There ist still massive CPU load from kworker processes, but I´m not sure if this is the reason for stalling the device.

I'll just pipe in with my last few weeks of work:
Basically, you have to Factory Default your NAS.
I have a ReadyNAS 102 and a 104 at home, both afflicted with the 6.4.0 problem. Long story short, I managed to get the 102 stable after a Factory Default (all other tricks did not work for me), and dropped a 3TB drive in it from my 104, which went degraded. I was hoping it wouldn't affect the limited stability of the NAS, but didn't seem to have much of an impact. I then configured RSync jobs to copy the data, and ran them one at a time. After quite a few tries, and restarts (ie: a few weeks time), I managed to get all data onto the 102. I then Factory Defaulted the 104 and poof, the stability was back. I created a bunch of Rsync jobs, and had them run. A few days later (without any hangs/resets, etc) the data was back onto my 104. I dropped the 3TB back into my 104, and my original drives in to my 102, and everything synched right up.
Since then, both NASes are stable and run well. Actually, I'll say they run better than they ever have. I know it's a pain in the ass, but it was the only way to get my NASes back online. The time it took though, was not short.. I feel for the people who have TBs of data which will need to be copied out elsewhere to do this. It will be frustrating, and more than likely, very long. But, in the end, everything will be up and running.
I hope 6.4.1 will cure the problems, but for people not wanting to hold out and maybe not have the new update work, the Factory Default is a definitive way out.

6.4.1 RC1 didn´t cure any of my problems. Still stalls after a unpredictable time.

No difference here either

Hi!
Yes, I have updated to 6.4.1 , and wait for the resync to complete. I will post answers afterwards.

Hi!
When I came home from work, my RN104 was frozen. Display shows: resync: 71.95%.
