Hello erskinejohn,
There is a possibility that while the new hard drive was on a sync process the another hard drive failed that brought the volume down. Can the raidar still detect the NAS from the network? Can you still download the complete the logs and provide us the copy, you may use file sharing website like wikisend and PM me the download link.

I will start it up again and try RAIDAR. What will that tell me? I can still access the admin page - that's how I got the log excerpt. I'm fairly sure you are correct with Hard Drive 4 being the suspected culprit.
