Setting up ReadyNAS 314 and CyberPower UPS
Hi, I have a ReadyNAS 314 unit and a CyberPower UPS connected to USB and would like to configure it for the ReadyNAS but am a little confused how to do this, can someone please help me do this? cheer...

If power failures are infrequent (or short), then one option is to simply not monitor the UPS from the PC. If the UPS battery drains, then the PC will do a forced shutdown (while the NAS will do a graceful one). I do that with one of my PCs.
A second option is to install the NUT software on the PC, and use it to monitor the UPS through the ReadyNAS via the PC's ethernet connection. You'd need to connect the ReadyNAS and the PC to the same router/switch, and make sure that the router/switch is also protected by the same UPS.
Or of course get a second UPS for the PC.
Thanks for the information, attched the USB cable to NAS and it configurated automatically, not fimiliar with configuring NUT software so will decided to use NAS or PC with the UPS, I do have a serial port on the UPS but I don't think I could run both simultaneously.
If all you want to do is have the PC monitor the UPS that's attached to the NAS, there's not a lot of configuring to do. Just Google "NUT for Windows". The latest MSI is a beta from a couple years ago, but it's stable for what you need.
