In an optimal environment running Jumbo Frames, all journaling turned off, running only the CIFs services nothing else, and fast CIFs writes enabled the absolute best performance I've benchmarked with IOMeter is 43MB/s read and 38MB/s write using the X-RAID disk configuration. That is pretty much the max the CPU in the NV+ can do. I can tell you that I've never come close to those numbers using FW 4.1.8. I can only get those numbers using FW 4.1.7. It may be worth your time to downgrade to 4.1.7 and see if it improves for you.
However if you are looking for 60-80 MB/s speeds then don't waste your time. Return the NV+ and go buy the Pro/Ultra 4 or 6.
