readnas to readynas backup speed
Hello Everyone,
Suppose that I have:
1. An Ultra 4+ connected to a Gbit router.
2. A NV+ connected to the same Gbit router.
3. A rSync backup job configured on the NV+ to backup the Ultra 4+.
4. No other network traffic other than the backup job.
Assuming I had the NASs tweaked for best performance, how long would you expect a 100GB backup job to run?
Thanks.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredA full backup would take quite a long time using Rsync. I'd use NFS for a full backup. This may take about an hour or two, I think. Then switch to using Rsync for verification/incremental backups.
