You have to switch to flexraid, destroy the xraid volume, then create two new ones (one for each disk). I recommend naming one of them data.
There's no way to avoid data loss. Also, uninstall your apps first, as they are stored on the data volume.

Upon changing from XRaid to FlexRaid were you ask to select the raid level? Degraded volume means it is up/accessible but it is not redundant. Please refer to the information from this link.
