Ready NAS NV+ (RND4425) - IP problems

The 192.168.168.168 address is the address your NAS uses when it can't get an address via DHCP.
Try a different cable next - 100 mbit ethernet only uses 4 of the 8 wires in the cable; so one possible explanation is that one of the other wires has failed.

Make sure they are at least cat 5e.
You can also try the cable with a different gigabit device connected to your switch, and see if you get an internet connection to that device.

During more tests, I excluded the cable part, as they are ok.
Connected my switch (GS728TP), forced the port to 100M full duplex, and started to ping the Nas...
So the problem is from the Nas unit itself. Don´t know what to do from here on.

One possibility is that NIC socket or some of the internal components have failed.
This is an NV+ v1 (running 4.1.x firmware)?
