Because ReadyCloud did not appear in the preferences folder — in Mojave, at least — and I could not isolate the problem, I went into the library and deleted every trace of ReadyCloud and reinstalled a fresh copy. Whatever setting differed from that on my other Mojave Macbook Pro and Mac Pro was rectified and the app resumed normal functionality.

I'll give it a shot. Can I do that remotely or do I need to be on the LAN?

If you need to do it remotely you should be atleast connected to a VPN since if you are connecting from ReadyCloud,you will lose access once you turn it off.
BTW, have you tried logging in to ReadyCloud portal on the Mac that is having the issue?

I have no problem logging into the portal on my problem mac. I'm working off that instead of the VPN. I'm just trying to avoid going into the office and dealing with the problem with RAIDar. I'm just obsessing over why two identical Macs act differently. Thanks.
