same problem here, with my wndr3700, LG 47LD650, and Fanton 2gb hard drive. Originally, everything worked perfectly. However, after a firmware update, i couldn't see a movie folders beyond the letter N. It continued to work flawlessly from the computers connected to the router.
so far, neither LG nor netgear has been helpful. LG says it's the router, netgear says it's the hard drive. has ANYONE heard of a resolution for this?
