ReadyDLNA and Samsung Smart TV
Hello, (new guy here)
So,i bought me a ReadyNas NV+ 4bay. I was trying to make the shares show on my TV. No go.
My TV is a UE40F5500AW. When i go to the samsung media browser it shows everything perfectly. It even says "Connect Nearby Devices (DLNA) via your home network". But there is no ReadyNAS in the listing. My computer shows up just fine. Also on my laptop i cannot detect it via network devices but i can connect to it using its direct IP with run.exe.
Both wired and wireless seem to fail on the TV so that i why i am asking now if it is a fault in the NAS. I dont know if this has anything to do with it but transfer speeds are 1.6MB/s.
I give up and i dont know what to do now. I have been scanning this forum for almost 2 hours now. So i made an account and try to find anything this way.
Sorry if this question has been asking so much but i just cannot find the threads that link to it.
Kind regards,
Frans

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserHave you enabled ReadyDLNA on the NV+?
What firmware are you running? - PransFendersAspirantYes ReadyDLNA is enabled. I already tryed installing a newer version over the older one. I might have to delete it and add it again? i dont know.
Firmware is RAIdar 4.1.13 (latest version) - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat version of ReadyDLNA are you running?
So you already tried installing the Sparc Update add-on?: http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=27946
The add-on is installed over the top of itself. - PransFendersAspirantOh wow im being helped by the man himself :D Awesome.
On-Topic: I will try that. May i ask what the "Sparc Update Add-On" is? I did install the ReadyDLNA from this page : http://www.readynas.com/?page_id=617 (3th one in the list) Wich if i click on it links to the same post you just linked.
Do i need to delete the one that is on it right now and then reinstall it with the one that i download from that topic? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredNo. It's an update add-on.
Did the NAS come with 4.1.13 on it or did you have to update the firmware? - PransFendersAspirantI did a complete factory reset on it when i got it. because i plugged in different discs i wanted to start from scratch so i can learn more instead of just picking up where the other guy left.
After the complete factory reset it did ask me for a automatic update wich i executed. After that update it was set on 4.1.13. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you send me your logs?: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/21543/~/how-do-i-send-all-logs-to-a-readynas-forum-moderator
- PransFendersAspirantAlright. I will do this as soon as i get home. (in about 4 hours)
- PransFendersAspirantAlright. I've send the logs to the mail adress mention in the page you linked me.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredLooks like you have the one disk installed?
Or maybe two and the drive in bay 2 is dead?
Do you have any media in /c/media ?
Your disk is the Western Digital Caviar Blue WD10EALX-009BA0
I'm not sure of the state this unit is in
Perhaps try another factory default (this will give you a clean install of 4.1.13), install the update add-on again and see if it works this time?
