ReadyDLNA does not find all files (dirs, files missing)

You are responding a 2 year-old thread (and I suspect the bug being referred to has already been fixed).
There is no need to use SSH to force a rescan. Just use the rescan button in the web ui.

Not sure if you are on a newer or older system. I'm only familiar with 4.x.x software. Check the contents of /var/log/upnp-av.log for errors. If you don't have ssh access download the logs from the link on top right of System->Logs page of Frontview. If you force a rescan the log output of that should show up in this log file.
