ReadyNAS 1000s No Frontview after 4.1.8 FW upgrade
I just recently received this from someone else in IT, I wanted to set it up to do backups. I installed the 4.1.8 FW update and have completely lost all Frontview. It sees it on Raidar, did an OS reinstall. I can even navigate to it across the network. Just no way to reconfigure it. Any thoughts or ideas?

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat version of RAIDiator were you running beforehand?
Did you have any add-ons installed (e.g.ones included in some older firmware such as Photos II and BitTorrent)?
Sounds like it should most likely be an easy issue to fix.
Do you have all the data backed up? If it is the simplest solution would be to do a factory reset (wipes all data, settings, everything) to give your unit a clean setup on the latest firmware. This will give it things like 4k sector partition alignment as well (useful for when you eventually want to use 2TB disks). - sfckorAspirantIt was 2.00cp1 or something like that. I have no data on it whatsoever, can try a factory reset. Will post the results here in a bit.
- It is too old firmware of 2.00cp1, now it is better to reboot this unit to "tech support" mode, and let me check whether the data is OK.
If yes, I suggest you backup all your data and run factory default with 4.1.8, then restore it. - VanTechsAspirantDid you ever get this resolved? I just upgraded our ReadyNAS 1000S to 4.1.8 and now no more frontview. I can still access the share but quite useless if nothing can be configured. Also in Radar it now says the model is a ReadyNAS 600!
