ReadyNAS 102 6.4.0 USB_HDD Trouble: External storage device disconnected.
It seems that after upgrading firmware from 6.2 to 6.4 my USB HDD connected to rear USB port keeps disconnecting making it impossible to have unattended rsync backups or directory browsing as it used...

I think the USB fixes showed up in 6.4.1-T35, not -T29.
Have you tried the current beta software?

Anton,
I had very much the same experience with my RB102 with FW 6.4.0. Since then it has been a long and disappointing process, trying to get things going again. Different firmware beta versions have made small improvements, but now there is a better one.
My advice. Disconnect UHB storage, reboot the NAS on its own. It will probably work. Update to the latest firmware 6.4.0 T147.arm.img, available elsewhere on this discussion group.
Good luck, and I hope your NAS works as mine now does.

Thanks for your answer. I'm trying the suggested firmware as I write this, waiting for the nas to reboot. I hope the update will solve this issue but I'm really disappointed about what happened. The new good features do not compensate the bad ones.
Regards,
Anton Giulio
