ReadyNAS 102 6.4.0 USB_HDD Trouble: External storage device disconnected.
It seems that after upgrading firmware from 6.2 to 6.4 my USB HDD connected to rear USB port keeps disconnecting making it impossible to have unattended rsync backups or directory browsing as it used...
I think the USB fixes showed up in 6.4.1-T35, not -T29.
Have you tried the current beta software?

I had very much the same experience with my RB102 with FW 6.4.0. Since then it has been a long and disappointing process, trying to get things going again. Different firmware beta versions have made small improvements, but now there is a better one.
My advice. Disconnect UHB storage, reboot the NAS on its own. It will probably work. Update to the latest firmware 6.4.0 T147.arm.img, available elsewhere on this discussion group.

Hi, nothing has changed with the suggested firmware. I'm wondering if this issue has something to do with new power management policies or with a bug.
What may I look for? Disconnection seems random. I regret the update, the nas was working flawlessly with the old firmware.
