Readynas 102 extremely slow after update to 6.4.1

What firmware are you running?
Is the antivirus service enabled.

Also experiencing this issue - dead slow response over SMB with my RN102 since upgrading to 6.4.1. Have now performed a factory reset and am restoring from backup. I'll keep you posted if this sorts it.

Hopefully you tried disabling the antivirus service first.

Hi.
no offence but this idea of disabling the AV is the only idea that Netgear come up with, again and again and again.... And yes it is disabled.

I was asking mjcourtney (hoping that he'd tried it before he dove into the factory reset).
Though it clearly hasn't solved your problem, it has worked for most of the other posters - which of course is why the advice is repeated.

thanks sorry, I didn't look who you were responding to.
i have other issues too.
when I plug a USB hard drive into a rear socket two shares appear. One is correctly named as the hard drive and the second is the name given to a usb stick I would normally plug into a front socket.
however they are both shown as 1TB of storage.
eject either and both disappear.
wierd?
