ReadyNAS 102 HDD swap resize
In the process of upgrading the drives in my RN102. Originally had 2 x 2Tb drives installed. Hotswapped the drive in bay 2 (the right bay) with a 4Tb drive and allowed the resync process to complete. This restored the X-Raid Mirror, albeit still at ~ 2Tb of available space. I then proceeded to hotswap the drive in bay 1 (the left bay) and it is currently resyncing (see image). Question I have...at the end of this will I realize the full 4Tb of disk space that I should have as a result of swapping the drives? Currently I'm still only seeing ~ 2Tb of disl space. Or will there be something further I need to do to expand the disks to the full size of the drives? The volume is configured as an X-Raid mirror.
Thanks in advance...RN102 Resync

Yes.
You'll find that there are two resync steps this time around. The first will resync the existing 2x2TB RAID group. When that completes, the system will create a new 2x2TB RAID group and concatenate it with the existing RAID group. That new RAID group will also need to be synced. At that point the size will rapidly increase.
