ReadyNAS 102 Update Packages
First of all I have read a few times in this forum that I should not do a general "apt-get upgrade" because it messes with the custom netgear kernel.
My question is is it ok to update just selected packages like php, mysql, libnss3 or libnspr4?

It's not messing with the kernel necessarily but you may break some things like the web admin UI say for example it depends on a certain version of a package and you update that package.
There is a VM available you could play with before rolling out changes on your system. - SeloXAspirantThank you for the quick reply. Do you know where I could find this VM?

Note however this is a x86_64 VM. So whilst it should give you a reasonable indication it's not the same as testing on an ARM system.
