Overall, an rx overrun in the NAS means that the NAS itself isn't able to keep up with the data it is receiving.
Try turning on ethernet flow control in your PCs (both tx and rx). If you have managed or smart switches, look for flow control settings in them also.
These shouldn't do damage, as TCP will retransmit.
